Ñacurutú – small, smart and tough

FinnDomingo e.V. works with local non-governmental organizations in Chile. As wild animals are also kept by humans, the network is currently being expanded in this direction in order to be able to carry out German-Chilean exchange visits and educational projects, probably from the end of 2025.

The first step is to find institutions in Chile and Germany that are willing and able to cooperate.

The Ñacurutú association is one of the Chilean candidates that the FinnDomingo team visited in November 2024. At the ÑACURUTÚ wildlife rescue center, its founder, a Chilean veterinarian, has been caring for injured wild animals in a self-sacrificing and professional manner for over seven years. Where possible, he later releases the animals back into the wild.
